(Vietnamese below)
In celebration of the 70th Anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Viet Nam Youth Federation (October 15, 1956 – October 15, 2026), young people across Ho Chi Minh City will come together through a wide range of meaningful activities, spreading the spirit of solidarity, dedication, and responsibility toward the community.
On the morning of September 7, 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union and the Viet Nam Youth Federation – Ho Chi Minh City held a press conference on the 10th Congress of the Viet Nam Youth Federation – Ho Chi Minh City, term 2026–2031, as well as activities celebrating the 70th anniversary of the Federation’s Traditional Day.
The 10th Congress of the Viet Nam Youth Federation – Ho Chi Minh City will take place on September 11, 2026, at the Ho Chi Minh City Hall, with 500 official delegates in attendance. The Congress is an important political event for the city’s youth, marking a new chapter in the development of the Federation and youth movements across Ho Chi Minh City.
A Series of Meaningful Activities Await!
- September 12: The Viet Nam Youth Federation – Ho Chi Minh City will host the launch ceremony of Stage 5 of the “I Love My Fatherland” Journey 2026, featuring a flag-raising ceremony, artistic performances, the “I Love My Fatherland” mass performance, the presentation of national flags to members and young people, and social welfare activities.
- October 15: The 2026 Mass Wedding Ceremony will be held for 100 couples, including trade union members, youth members, young workers, civil servants, teachers, discharged military personnel, and workers facing difficult circumstances.
- In October: The concert “Thanh âm lên đàng” (Sounds of Moving Forward) is expected to take place at Nguyen Hue Walking Street, bringing together artists from different generations and large numbers of young people. The program will also promote positive messages through the 2026 campaign to prevent and combat drug-related issues.
For YFLC, these activities are not only an opportunity to reflect on the Federation’s 70-year journey of development and contribution, but also a chance for young people to meet, connect, learn, and contribute to the community.
In an increasingly interconnected world, the spirit of youth is also reflected in proactively developing knowledge, foreign language skills, practical abilities, technology, and the capacity to connect with international communities. Every young person can contribute in their own way to building Ho Chi Minh City into an increasingly dynamic, civilized, modern, and compassionate city.
